Wool Street collects as little as it can. Here's exactly what, and why.

If you sign up for the email

We collect your email address, the date and time you agreed to receive the email, the wording you agreed to, and the country your connection came from (which our host provides automatically). We use this only to send you the Wool Street email and to show that you asked for it.

If you back the sheep

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe tells us your name, email address and the amount, which we use for receipts and records.

Who helps us

• Resend stores your email address and sends the newsletter.
• Cloudflare hosts this website and runs the bot check on the signup form.
• Stripe processes payments.

These providers may store information outside New Zealand. We use them because they protect personal information to a standard comparable to New Zealand's.

Visit statistics

We may count visits using Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across other websites.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address while you're subscribed. Every email has an unsubscribe link. After you unsubscribe we keep a short record that you did, so we don't email you again.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email hello@woolstreet.co.nz. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
